New Horse Tack Item for a Happier Horse
Like many who are not “horse people” I do enjoy watching them and learning about them. They are such magnificent creatures.
I ran across this item today. It seems to me to be something every horse owner would want to have. It should make your special friend a happy horse since it is a fix for something that plagues some horses depending on the horse saddles and tack you currently use.
Take a look at the video information and decide for yourself. It may be a welcome addition to your tack room.
Personally, I think it’s a great idea. Leave a comment on my DoFollow blog here and let me know what  you think.
Here is the “Over the Withers Breast Collar Strap” for your review.

  1. I like your blogg on the breast collar horse tack. Yours strap reminds me of the type of collar a lot of horseman used to use in the 50’s and 60’s, it also connected over the withers. a vary good product I, often Wondered why they quit making them.

  2. I never used a breast collar much, except during roundup, for roping. Gives stability and pulling power to the saddle. Not many mountains in NE, but I would probably use one in hilly areas too. Helps keep the saddle in place. This looks like a great idea as most breast collars do tend to sag and rub or irritate the horse. Thanks for the update.

  3. Thank you Stable Mat and Lynn for your comments. I am so envious of “horse people.” What a grand job or hobby.

Thank you so much for your comments and your information. I’m sure others will find it useful.

    All the best,

  4. The height of a horse is measured with hands, where each hand is equal to four inches. This is a good ttips for horses

  5. Well, it’s an idea… The breast collar used doesn’t fit. Using the strap won’t fix the problem; while it keeps the horse from being constricted, it doesn’t allow the breast collar to do what it was designed to do in the first place. Over the wither straps have been around forever and work when the breast plate (English term) fits well.
The best idea is to use a pulling collar. Actually serves the purpose of helping keep saddle in proper place and helps horse to use their body weight when pulling a load.
Unless there is a specific reason, lose the breast collar entirely.
