Surf Dog Ricochet and Ian Enjoy a Surfing Day

I’m happy to bring you the latest video of Surf Dog Ricochet and Ian Enjoy a Surfing Day at the beach. This is a true example of a Dog In Service. I know there are many and I know you join me in saluting them all.

Surf Dog Ricochet, the SURFice dog surfs with Ian McFarland, a 6 year old boy who suffered a brain injury in a horrific car accident that claimed the lives of his parents. Ian used to surf with his dad, but became somewhat fearful of surfing after the accident. This video shows how Ian’s fears were replaced with excitement when he learned he’d be surfing with Ricochet.

I just find this totally amazing. I am always so happy when a new video is released. The happiness showing in the child’s face and, if you know dogs, you can see the happiness on Surf Dog Ricochet’s face as well.

Enjoy Surf Dog Ricochet and Ian in this special video about a very special couple of real friends.

Again, let’s remember all those great dogs in service to humanity working daily to help humanity. Military, Police and Search dogs are just a few of the more well known service dogs but there are many more helping the blind and the disabled.

Think of your dog today and remember. . . . . .

“She is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are her life, her love, her leader. She will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of her heart. You owe it to her to be worthy of such devotion.”  ~~Unknown

I hope you enjoyed Surf Dog Ricochet and Ian Enjoy a Surfing Day. I have another video I posted some time ago if you would like to see more of Surf Dog Ricochet.

  1. What a beautiful dog Ricochet is! I LOVE GOLDEN RETRIEVERS! They are friendly dogs and love everyone especially children and are very smart and talented. They make great service dogs as I can see from those pictures. When I move out of my parents house I am going to adopt one and train it to be a therapy dog. I never seen a red Golden Retriever before. GOD BLESS HER!!!!!

  2. Hi Denis, Appreciate your comments as always. I have 2 special dogs I follow and bring to everyone. They are Ricochet the Surf Dog and Schmitty the weather dog. I even gave Schmitty a page on my blog. I may be doing the same for Ricochet. They both do a tremendous service to humans and other dogs as well so I enjoy supporting them. Thanks again for your kind comment. Hi to Carol and Bert.

  3. Bill, Those videos go right to the heart. They are an inspiration to everything that is good about pets doing a service for their fellow person no matter how great or small the service. Thanks for posting that.
